Marie and Whismick chose to do their photo shoot at the Lakeside Park in Fort Wayne on the rainy Thursday before their wedding. They explained that they had been married 11 years ago and have three sons. They have been together for 17 years and moved to the US from Haiti. Luckily the rain held off during our shoot as we wandered around the Rose Gardens.
On the big day, Whismick, his sons and groomsmen got ready in one hotel room as Maries and her ladies did so in another. Once they were set to go, the florist pinned boutonnières on the groom and groomsmen and they left for the church. Then she held a “bouquet class” for the ladies imparting tips on flower ettiquette.
The wedding party marched in as couples followed by the flower girls and ring bearers. Marie was gorgeous as her brother and sister walked her down the aisle to her waiting groom. The beautiful ceremony was followed by a fun and fantastic reception at the Memorial Coliseum. The wedding party was announced in and Whismick glided his lovely bride around the dance floor for their first dance. Dinner was served and the best man gave a wonderful speech, mostly in Creole. Dancing, cake cutting (and smashing) followed by more dancing and tosses provided the fun filled evening.
Thank you, Marie, Whismick and family for choosing White Tiger Photographic to capture this very special day.
